Creating a Pulse From a Template

This is similar to creating a pulse, however, your questions will be automatically populated.


  1. Click New pulse
  2. Select From Template.

To select a Pulse Template

  1. To narrow down the results to a specific group, click on the Category (Students, Staff, Family Members, etc.)
  2. Select a Template from the results.

NOTE: You can move between groups by clicking a different Category name.

  1. Review the questions in the template. NOTE: These can be changed later on if you prefer different question(s).
  2. Click Use Template to begin creating a Pulse with the default template questions.

Step One: Settings

  1. Enter the name of your Pulse.
  2. Select the student(s)/group(s) that you would like to ask.
  3. Select/remove the groups that you would like to share the results with.
  4. Select the checkbox if you would like Comments enabled.
  5. Select the checkbox if you would like to allow students to request to speak to an adult.

Step Two: Edit

Customize the Pulse by clicking on the question.

NOTE: This will allow you to adjust the question, the favorability, face icon and responses.

Once you have adjusted the template select Next.

Step Three: Schedule Your Pulse

  1. Enter in the required information for: Starts, Window and Repeat
  2. Select Create schedule to complete your Pulse creation.
Congratulations! That is it--you created a Pulse from a Template!
