June 2022

What's New and/or Improved?

  • New LCAP Questions Bank
  • A brand New Pulse List page has been released with new features like search and filter options, shortcuts & new grid view.
  • A new Activate Boogie feature that allows students to open a Pulse survey in the case Boogie does not show.
  • A Boogie Back-Up option allows students to sign into Kelvin directly using their Google account instead of using the Chrome extension.
  • Pop-up now shows a nice message if the student/staff does not have an account in Kelvin. You can see the email address that is being used and can cross reference that with what is in Kelvin.
  • Improved bank search (new category management)
  • The Participation Report will no longer show for family or staff pulses if it is enabled at your site.
  • Clicking on a report for a live or upcoming pulse will show a nice status message.
  • The Change pulse administration now includes the next upcoming or live pulse in the list. It also includes the current and past years both in the title of the report and in the dropdown.
  • Enhancements to load time (Back-end)

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where the student/staff could not take the pulse outside of the scheduled time window. 
  • Enhancements to load time (Back-end). Reports, Pulse list, and Launchpad now load faster.

  • Added a new permission to allow users other than System Admins to create Pulse surveys. Users with the permission will be able to create Pulses for the students.
    • If disabled:
      • System and District Admins will be able to create surveys for all students, staff and families. 
    • If enabled: 
      • Site admins will be able to create surveys for their students, staff, and families at their school(s). 
      • Teachers can create surveys for their rostered students

  • Improved workflow for creating Pulses. We've added tabs and made things clearer when making a new survey. Remember how you had to click the (...) menu + "change questions"? Not anymore.

  • Enhanced the comparison data in Pulse reports.
  • You can now see your live pulses on the Launchpad.

Bug Fixes:

  • Questions are now sorted on the reminder email and heatmap in a way that matches the Pulse settings.
  • Open-ended questions are now properly labeled as open-ended questions in the Pulse reminder email.

  • Added stars and hover tip to indicate favorable and "not favorable" answer choices on our answer distribution report. This gives insight into how the "overall percent favorability" is calculated.
