How to create an Aeries to Kelvin Data Sharing Connection

This article will walk through the steps to share your Aeries data with Kelvin.

Step One:  Create the API Key

1.  Navigate to Security.

2.  Select API Security.

3.  Select Add New Record.

1. Enter Kelvin in Product Name Field.

2. Enter Comments as appropriate.

3. Select Insert.

NOTE: Leave Type blank.

Step Two:  Select the Data to Share
  1. Select Display Certificate Details

Select Read access for the following security areas:

  1. Student Data
  2. Contacts
  3. Class Schedules/History
  4. Teacher Data
  5. Staff Data
  6. Master Schedule
  7. Course Data
  8. Optional: Student Programs (Sped, GATE, FRL, etc.)
Step Three:  Email Us

Email (via a secure/encrypted method) the following items:

1.  The API URL or "base URL"

2.  The Aeries API Certificate

Option One:  Use your District's Secure/Encrypted Method Process

Be sure to send the information to your CSM (Customer Success Manager):

1.  The API URL or "base URL"

2.  The Aeries API Certificate

Option Two: Submit Using Kelvin's Help Center

1.  Select Submit Ticket.

1.  Select Kelvin Pulse for the Category.

2.  Enter your CSM's (Customer Success Manager) name in the Subject Line.

3.  Enter the information to be shared with your CSM.

4.  Enter your name.

5. Enter your email (NOTE: This is required as the ticket automatically will require you to log in to see the status, etc.)

6.  Complete reCAPTCHA.

7.  Select Create Ticket.

Not Sure How to Get the API URL or API Certificate?

NOTE: Aeries should display both the API URL (base URL) and your Aeries API Certificate in their API config screen.
